Experience the magic of Devil’s Lake at Halloween! From 4 to 6 p.m., we'll have crafts and free pumpkin carving. From 6 to 8 p.m., we'll have the campfire going, a 1-mile family-friendly torchlit hike, s'mores and, new this year, wear your costumes for a costume parade! At dusk, take a walk along the torchlit path to see the lit-up jack-o-lanterns. Pick up your snake trivia game cards at the Rock Elm Shelter before you head out on your hike. All activities are free; donations are welcome. This is an all-ages, all-abilities, family-friendly event. The event meeting place is the Rock Elm Shelter, North Shore picnic area.

The Sunday Market is a summer staple. The market hosts up to 30 vendors on the courthouse lawn, selling an array of items including handmade, crafted goods, antiques and vintage collectibles. Each market will host some remarkable performances that include local musicians and other talented acts. Additionally, a different food vendor plays host to serving up some amazing food options.The Sunday Market is held on the last Sunday of each month starting in May and running until October (weather permitting). Event begins at 10:00 am and runs until 2:00 pm. The following dates are for the 2025 year:

Join Frank Ginther as he presents his book The Life and Times of Dawn Manor.The book follows the interesting history and people who have been associated with Dawn Manor, first located at the town of Newport, and now a popular Baraboo restaurant. The manor was first built in 1855 by Captain Abraham Vandepoel, a signer of the Wisconsin Constitution and a friend of President Abraham Lincoln. Over the years, the manor hosted guests such as Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Carnegie, Agnes Moorhead and Frank Lloyd Wright.This author talk is sponsored by RPL and Main Street Books.There is no registration or fee required to attend.
