Madison, Wis (Civic Media) – As her challenger gains ground, Senator Tammy Baldwin has announced a state-wide tour to connect with constituents across Wisconsin. According to recent polling conducted by The Hill/Emerson between March 14th and 18th, Baldwin currently holds a narrow lead of 45 to 42 over her challenger, Eric Hovde. This signifies a decline for Baldwin since the previous month’s poll, where she enjoyed a 7 percentage point advantage. In her most recent campaign, Senator Baldwin secured 55% of the vote, triumphing over Leah Vukmir.
In a press release sent by ‘Tammy Baldwin for Senate‘, the statewide campaign tour will be known as “Tammy’s Dairyland Tour”, and set to place from Monday, March 25th to Friday, March 29th. The campaign says the Senator aims to shed light on the key issues affecting communities throughout Wisconsin.
Baldwin plans to visit a total of 19 counties. These counties include Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland, Oneida, Lincoln, Wood, Marathon, Waupaca, Outagamie, Winnebago, Dodge, Jefferson, Green, Richland, Vernon, La Crosse, Juneau, Sauk, and Columbia. She plans on participating in what are called ‘Main Street walks’ alongside local elected officials, providing an opportunity to interact with community members directly.
