Appleton Police ask residents for feedback in a survey

APPLETON, WI—(WISS)— The Appleton Police Department launches a community survey to get residents’ feedback on several topics, including public safety priorities, community policing programs, and prevention and intervention programs. 

According to a press release, the survey is part of the department’s commitment to transparency and community partnership. Officials believe it will be an important tool for identifying the city’s residents’ most pressing issues and where police presence is needed most. 

The department said responses will guide decisions on the following:

• Patrol strategies and officer deployment
• Community Policing Initiatives and engagement opportunities
• Resource allocation for crime prevention and intervention programs
• Long-term strategic planning and partnership development

The survey found here should take two to three minutes to complete. 

“The community’s voice is essential in shaping public safety strategies that are both responsive and equitable,” Appleton Police Chief Polly Olson said in a press release. “We are asking for honest feedback to help us understand what is working, where we can improve, and how we can ensure that our efforts truly reflect the priorities of the people we serve.”

The survey is open now and will take responses through July 10, 2025.
