FDL County Prosecutor Named DA of the Year

The Wisconsin District Attorneys’ Association has selected Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney as the 2024 District Attorney of the Year.

Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein nominated Toney for his prosecution of difficult homicide cases while also successfully overcoming a serious heart condition that left him hospitalized.

In addition, the selection committee noted that Eric Toney was instrumental in successfully advocating for additional prosecutor positions and pay progression for Assistant District Attorneys while President of the Wisconsin District Attorneys’ Association. He has also been a board member for the association for nearly a decade.

Toney says, “I’m honored to have received the 2024 District Attorney of the Year award from my colleagues, especially after the challenging year 2023 brought, with unexpected open-heart surgery.”
