The American Red Cross urges donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets now to keep the blood supply as strong as possible in the final days of the year and into 2026.
Types O, A negative and B negative blood donors are especially needed now.
Two opportunities to give around the area will be held this week.
The first is Wednesday (December 31) from 9:30 to 1:30 at the American Legion Hall in Wonewoc.
The second will be held Friday (January 2) from 11:30 to 5:30 at Christ Lutheran Church in Spring Green.
Schedule a blood or platelet donation appointment by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
