RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- The Ripon Area School District is considering Jim DeBroux as its next Ripon High School Principal, pending the School Board’s approval next Monday. District Superintendent Ron Rivard announced the recommendation on Monday.
DeBroux says, “I am truly excited for the opportunity to serve as the next principal of Ripon High School.” He says the time he spent in the district during the interview process only strengthened his hope to become part of the school and community.”
A total of 18 candidates applied for the position, with eight selected to participate in initial interviews with Superintendent Rivard. From that group, three finalists including DeBroux were invited to participate in a Day in the District this past Wednesday.
With the board’s approval he will start on July 1st. Currently, DeBroux is the middle/high school principal at Gibraltar Secondary School in Fish Creek.
